Hyundai recently unveiled the Kona, the company’s entrance in the red-hot subcompact SUV segment, expected to go on sale in America in the first quarter of 2018. The Kona is a significant vehicle for its giant Korean carmaker, as it seems to take on the earnings supremacy of cars such as the Mazda CX-3 and Mitsubishi ASX from the burgeoning little SUV sector.
