Lodgings and Food

The camp will be held at the one-of-a-kind Roche Harbor, an interesting place which is kind of a combination resort, 19th century company town, and village by the sea. It's about nine miles north of the town of Friday Harbor, on San Juan Island. There's no need to drive over (see "Getting There"), as the camp shuttle will pick you up from the ferry landing and bring you out to Roche Harbor.
You'll be booking your lodgings directly with the friendly folks at Roche Harbor, by calling them at 800-451-8910 or by emailing the reservations desk at reservations@rocheharbor.com. Be sure to say you're coming for the Friday Harbor Irish Music Camp, as they're offering us incredibly low special rates on lodgings and meals.
Roche Harbor has a variety of lodgings available, from the historic Hotel de Haro to some upscale, newly-built houses. The prices start at $29 per night (in the hotel) for FHIMC attendees, and range upwards from there, with most rooms at $49 per night. The Roche Harbor staff is creating a fantastic meal package for our camp, and the cost will be about $273 for the week. This includes breakfast, lunch and dinner. Rates are charged on a per bed basis, so couples will have an advantage, also you can save money on meals by booking lodgings with cooking facilities.
