Friday Harbor Irish Music Camp 2010

Class Selections

Please enter your name, email address, and your primary instrument, then select one class for each session and hit the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. These selections are not final until we receive your registration form and check. We will cut off registration for certain classes when their maximum size is reached, in most cases about 18 students. Also, we reserve the right to assign students to specific classes in order to balance the number of students in each class. If this happens and you're unhappy, we'll refund any payments you've made. Dropping in on classes for which you're not registered is not OK.

Fiddlers please note: We have advanced and intermediate classes in fiddle, and we're depending on you to decide which is most appropriate for you. We used to require audition tapes for the advanced fiddle classes, but have been using self-placement for the last couple of years. If you know a fair number of Irish tunes, have been playing Irish fiddle for some time and can play Irish reels, jigs and hornpipes at a steady pace with good style... then you belong in the advanced classes. If you've played the fiddle or violin for some time but are new to Irish music, or if you're an old hand at the music but new to the instrument, or if you've been at both for some time but feel your playing is not at the advanced level, please register for the intermediate classes. If you're not sure, email Randal Bays at randal@fridayharborirish.com We encourage all fiddle students to enroll in both teachers' classes. Both the intermediate and advanced classes are taught largely by ear, and the advanced classes can move along pretty quickly.

The full class schedule can be found at www.fridayharborirish.com/2010FH_classschedule.pdf

Note: Some classes are full and are closed to new registrations. Those classes will not appear on the pull-down lists below.
